William Bacharach is a Colorado attorney dedicated to defending individuals facing criminal accusations — from misdemeanors and DUIs to complex, high-stakes violent-crime allegations. He founded Bacharach Law to provide clients with strategic, honest, and highly personalized representation grounded in courtroom experience and a commitment to justice.
William began his legal career as a Deputy State Public Defender in Jefferson County, representing countless clients and trying over 20 cases to verdict. His trial experience spans DUIs, domestic violence, assault, child abuse, harassment, disorderly conduct, and other offenses.
His litigation experience is complemented by substantial appellate and pre-trial work. As a Criminal Appeals Intern at the Colorado Attorney General's Office, he drafted answer briefs in cases involving first-degree murder, attempted murder, aggravated robbery, child sexual assault, and other serious felonies. After his time in public defense, William joined Sharuzi Law Group, where he supported complex civil litigation, federal practice, professional-licensing defense, and Section 1983 matters.
Before entering law, William served two years in the United States Peace Corps in Guinea, taught middle school in a Title I community in Micanopy, Florida, and earned a Master's degree in Human Rights and Transitional Justice from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. These experiences shaped the human-centered, service-based perspective he brings to client representation today.
Clients often come to William at some of the most difficult moments of their lives — when their job, family stability, reputation, or freedom may be at risk. He responds with clear communication, thorough preparation, realistic expectations, and a defense strategy shaped by trial experience. His goal is to protect clients' rights, challenge the government's claims, and build a defense that works for the facts of the individual case at hand.
"Every case deserves meticulous preparation, every client deserves dignity, and every defense must be built with the specific facts of the case in mind."
